- שְׁלִיפָהf. (שָׁלַף) slipping off; שְׁלִיפַת המנעל taking the shoe off (a form of possession, Ruth 4:7). Y.Kidd.I, 60c top בראשונה … בש׳ המ׳ in olden times they used to give possession by taking off the shoe.
